ON Monday, April 7, four new members, Osian, Daniel, Chelsey and Lillie, where invested into the 1st Penarth Beaver Scout Colony in front of the Beavers and their proud parents with the Deputy District Commissioner, Barry Angus presenting the Group Neckerchief on behalf of the group.
Following the Investitures, all the Beavers were presented with a total of 65 different badges which the Beavers have earned over the term:
14 Hikes Away Stage 1; 12 Fitness Challenge Award; one Creative Challenge Award; one Promise Challenge Award; 10 Healthy Eating Activity Badge; 21 Imagination Activity Badge; one Experiment Activity Badge; one Hobbies Activity Badge; one Animal Friends Activity Badge; three Safety Activity Badges.
The aim is for a Beaver Scout to earn sufficient challenges badges so they can be awarded the Chief Scouts Bronze Award before moving onto the Cub Scout Pack.
The group is looking for more leaders so they can provide more fun activities for all members. Anyone interested is asked to contact Julian Jordan, District Commissioner on 0330 330 1907 or email 0330 330 1907 also visit website: penarthanddistrictscouts.org.uk
