POLICE are appealing for information after an armed robbery at the One Stop Shop in Sully
Two men, armed with a bladed instrument, robbed the South Road shop shortly after 10.30pm on Wednesday, April 16
The men entered the shop and made threats to a member of staff demanding he hand over money from the till.
They then made off from the store with a quantity of cash, heading along South Road towards Barry.
The first male suspect is described as approximately 23-24 years of age, dark skin, approximately five feet, five inches tall, slim build and he was wearing dark navy rain coat with it’s hood pulled up. He was also wearing a black balaclava and spoke with a local accent.
The second male suspect is described as white with a pale complexion, approximately 19-21 years of age, slim build and about six feet tall. He was wearing a plain dark grey hooded jumper and a light pink scalf wrapped around his face covering up to his eyes.
Local policing Inspector Chris Owen said: “Whilst this was a very frightening experience for the victim, I want to reassure residents that incidents such as this are very unusual. We have stepped up our patrols in Sully and are determined to bring those responsible to justice.”
A One Stop spokesman added: “We are aware of the incident at our store in Sully and are helping the police with their investigation.”
