MEMBERS of Les Pugh's Own Explorer Scout Unit were split into two teams ready to venture into the depths of the Vale of Glamorgan.
One group starting from Cwm Gorge in Dinas Powys the other from Llancarfan. The object was to travel across country using the many public footpaths that cross our area. And camp for one night at the local Scout campsite outside Peterston Super Ely.
The following morning they would swap route cards and walk each others route for the journey home.
