PENARTH Town Council has thanked representatives of the developer Crest Nicholson for providing new boundary fences to the town council’s Harbour View leisure garden site.

In addition to the fences Crest Nicholson also provided two sets of woodland steps and rubbish skips to enable town council staff and plot holders to carry out a general clear up of the site.

The works were carried out in exchange for the town council agreeing to the lower boundary of the site being straightened for the benefit of properties on the Penarth Heights development that back onto the site.

Crest Nicholson also provided four much needed additional leisure garden plots that have now been allocated to local residents who had been on the town council’s waiting list for some time.

The Town Mayor said that the cooperation between Crest Nicholson and the Town Council had resulted in a much improved site that the Town Council would proactively manage and continue to improve.

He added that the town council hopes to facilitate the setting up of an association to enable better communications and management of the leisure gardens.

The Town Mayor also wished to thank plot holders on the site for their patience and cooperation during the works and for their assistance in the tidying up exercise.
