TICKETS are selling fast for two fundraising events in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Dinas Powys cancer survivor Lara Cowpe has organised a 70’s themed fancy dress party for Friday, June 27, at The Wharf in Cardiff, as well as the charity’s October Masquerade Ball.

Lara, who has raised more than £70,000 for charity, said that they were hoping both events would be sell-outs.

During the fancy dress evening, starring DJ Mike ‘Freddy’ Fredriksen, there will be a prize for the best dressed, as well as a disco and quiz.

Lara added that tickets were also selling fast for their October Masquerade Ball at the Mercure Holland House Hotel in Cardiff.

“Last year we raised more than £11,000 and had 300 people attending,” she said.

Entertainment will be provided by the Debbie Chapman Dancers, The Big What Band and Caricaturist Picasso Griffiths, as well as a raffle and silent auction.

There will also be a three-course meal and half a bottle of wine per person.

Photography will also be provided by NF Photography, with face ‘mask’ painting by Diana Ford.
