COMMUNITY fundraisers Georgina Burke and Helen Mulhern took to the tree tops at Go Ape in Margam Park to promote Marie Curie’s next Cardiff and the Vale Hospice trek to Costa Rica.

Taking place between April 2 and April 10, 2016, this is an adventure high on the wish list of active adventurers keen to take on the challenge of the five volcanoes trek in Costa Rica.

With day treks on Irazu, Poas, Arenal, Cerro Chato and Rinconde la Vieja, this adventure will take trekkers up close to the craters, unique flora and fauna and pristine rainforests that surround these natural phenomenons.

Helen Mulhern said: "You will have the chance to trek through pristine rainforests, marvel at exotic wildlife and take an exhilarating Arenal canopy walk complete with zip wires and Tarzan swings This eight-day trip includes six days of trekking, during which you will experience the most breathtaking views imaginable. On this experience of a lifetime you will explore towering mountains, turquoise-blue lakes, gleaming glaciers and enchanted forests.

"This is both a physical challenge and an opportunity to experience an incredible country.

"The dramatic scenery - with its high landscapes and jungle backdrop, make this overseas challenge one not to be missed."
