MURCH Junior School in Dinas Powys reopened as normal on Monday, June 2, after it had previously been closed due to flooding.
Repairs to damage caused to the school by recent flash flooding have been completed in time for pupils to return after the week half-term break.
Council officers have undertaken repairs to some of the school's stone floors and have replaced sections of carpet. The Vale of Glamorgan Council has also upgraded the school's drainage system to minimise any future risk of flooding.
