THE Barry Committee of Action Medical Research would like to say a huge thank you to local schools and companies who have taken part in the annual cream tea fundraiser which is organised by the charity.
The event which took place in Penarth, Dinas Powys and Llandough on July 4 was a huge success with volunteers delivering traditional cream teas for school staffs at Albert Primary, Cogan Primary, Dinas Powys Infants, Evenlode Primary, Fairfield Primary, Llandough Primary, Murch Junior, St Joseph’s R C Primary and Victoria Primary schools to enjoy in the workplace.
With the help of Asda, Co-op, Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsbury’s local and Windsor Fruit Stores who provided the scones and strawberries and Rodda’s Dairies, Wilkin and Son Jam and Yorkshire Tea a wonderful £650 was raised.
The money raised will help fund vital life saving work so once again a big thank you to all those who were involved.
