TWO ELITE triathletes that have been based in Penarth are set to jet off to take part in competitions this weekend.
Drikus Coetzee, who represents Namibia, and Aidan Nugent, who represents South Africa, have been Penarth based for the past few weeks so they could take part in several European events.
They have been staying with Aidan's dad Mike Nugent, who runs with Penarth and Dinas Runners, but are heading off tomorrow (July 17).
This weekend Aidan is competing in Geneva before returning to South Africa, while Drikus is heading to Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games as the sole Namibian triathlete.
