PENARTH Ageing Well Club (PAWC) will be holding their annual general meeting on Wednesday, August 13 at 11.30am.

The AGM marks the anniversary of the club's first “full” year as a constitutionally independent Ageing Well Club.

PAWC meet every Wednesday at the Glyndwr Community Centre, Glyndwr Road, Penarth.

PAWC is for anyone 50 years or over living in the East Vale that would like to engage in a variety of activities designed around physical and mental wellbeing and a sense of community.

Over the year membership has increased as the club's friendly and welcoming reputation has spread through word of mouth.

The club enjoys a monthly cycle of different physical activities each week to meet a range of tastes and abilities. In addition ensuring every Wednesday is different, PAWC has invited speakers and/or interest activities that entertain or inform members.

For example last week members enjoyed an Extend demonstration with a view followed by a talk from Mrs Bird on Owls with an opportunity to experience the birds close up.

PAWC recognise the importance of keeping in touch and are developing their own web page to help promote PAWC activities and keep members informed. To discover more about PAWC log on to http://ageingwell.me.uk
