REGIONAL AM and leader of the Welsh Conservatives Andrew RT Davies has commented on the news that Cardiff Airport’s Chief Executive, John Horne, is standing down on September 1 saying:
“Whilst we remain convinced that nationalisation was the wrong course of action taken to address the declining fortunes of Cardiff airport, John Horne has worked hard to deliver the modest improvements we have seen in recent months.
“The challenge for the next person in the role will be to deliver a wider range of routes and to work with operators and Welsh Government to make Cardiff Airport more attractive to the many passengers opting to use Bristol Airport instead.”
