IN CELEBRATION of its two new wedding and civil ceremony venues Penarth Town Council is set to hold a wedding fair and open day.

The Kymin and West House were both granted licences for marriage and civil ceremonies earlier this year.

The town council has already held several successful ceremonies at West House and have a number of bookings for the Kymin.

The free Kymin wedding fair and open day will not only give visitors the opportunity to view the Kymin, but it will provide a flavour of what the town has to offer to weddings and civil ceremonies.

All of the exhibitors are from Penarth and the fair will accommodate almost every service that a couple could need for their big day.

Event organiser Lauren Wilson said: “We’ve been really lucky with exhibitors. We’ve kept it relatively small with one exhibitor for each service.

"Some of the exhibitors we are working with might not be well known in the town. We have some who work from home or outside of the town centre and we also have some new businesses’ so it will be nice to show them off.

"There will be some familiar faces too. All of the exhibitors are really enthusiastic and they’re all great at what they do."

She added: “Many of the exhibitors provide services suitable for parties and other events so it is a great opportunity to meet people even if you’re not planning a wedding or civil ceremony."

Exhibitors include: dresses, catering, fine wines, cakes, hair and make-up, beauty therapy, floristry, cars, entertainment, honeymoons, venue decoration, venues, photography, hand-made favours and a

registrar to answer all of your questions.

The event will be free to attend and runs from 11am-4pm on Sunday, September 7. There is limited free on-site parking and nearby street parking and The Kymin is also a short stroll away from the Esplanade.
