FIVE parks in the Vale of Glamorgan have received a Green Flag Award this year and Keep Wales Tidy are now urging people to vote for their overall favourite.
The nationwide annual People's Choice Award has been opened, giving the public the power to decide which one of the 1482 Green Flag Award sites in the UK should be named Park of the Year in an online vote.
To vote, visit www.greenflagaward.org, select your country or region on the interactive map, find your favourite park or green space, and click the 'vote for this site' button.
Joanna Friedli, Keep Wales Tidy Green Flag Co-ordinator, said: “Wales received 102 prestigious Green Flag Awards this year - an outstanding achievement that showcases the high standard of our beautiful parks and green spaces.
"Vote for your favourite Welsh park to ensure that our beautiful, award-winning green spaces get the recognition they deserve this year.”
The vote will close at 12pm on Tuesday, September 30 and the winner of the 2014 People’s Choice will be announced on Thursday, October 16.
