ONE OF Penarth's oldest residents celebrated her 104th birthday this week.
Town Mayor, Councillor Martin Turner, paid a special visit to Clarice Hepworth (known as Gladys) to help her celebrate reaching the milestone on Tuesday, September 30.
Clarice has lived in Penarth for all of her life. She married a local young man from Lavernock and had three daughters. She presently has six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Clarice has lived through two World Wars and would have seen many changes throughout her life in Penarth. The staff and councillors at Penarth Town Council would like to wish Gladys a very happy birthday.
