A SULLY Primary School teacher inspired by the work of Dylan Thomas has published her own children's book.
Laura Sheldon will be at Griffin Books in Penarth to sign copies of her book 'Mr Mahli's Shed and a Ghost Named Dylan' between 11am and 12pm on Saturday, November 8.
The book, which features the ghost of Dylan Thomas, centres on the poet's writing shed which was the inspiration for the writers' shed at Sully Primary School where Laura teaches. It comes amid celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Dylan Thomas in both Wales and America.
Describing the book, Laura said: "Everybody likes Mr Mahli and when he goes on holiday his neighbours, nine-year-old Tomos and Alys, agree to look after his 'epic' garden.
"But once they venture into his mysteriously empty shed, things start to get seriously spooky."
The book, published by Firefly Press, is on sale at Griffin Books at £5.99.
