WILLIAM Salter and Andrew Whinney were presented with the Chief Scout Gold Award, one of the highest awards that can be attained in Scouting.

Both boys attained the award through the 94th Penarth, Stanwell Road Scout Group.

Group Scout Leader Roger Kingdom presented the awards on Sunday, January 21.

The boys both went through Beavers, Cubs and Scouts with the group, and William has now moved on to Explorer Scouts. They gave a short presentation during the monthly church parade at Stanwell Road Baptist Church, explaining what they had done to achieve the award, and thanked all the leaders for their support.
