YOUNG musicians learning with Jo Weaving LWCMD are celebrating after a term of successes. Oliver Bartlett passed grade five piano and Josiah Whiffen passed grade four piano with merit.

Hannah Mitchem passed grade two piano and grade three theory with merits. Jack Ollier passed grade five clarinet with distinction. Jack, along with Benedict Griffin, entered this year’s Music in The Vale Competition.

Jack entered on clarinet, piano and recorder and was runner up in the junior class. Jack and Benedict were runners up in the ensemble class. Jack was then awarded the Steven Burges trophy for the ‘most promising pianist’ of the whole competition.

All students have worked very hard over the year and are looking forward to the Christmas break.
