A DOCTOR Who themed event starring one of the show’s most popular characters is set to be held at the Penarth Pier Pavilion this weekend.

Simon Fisher-Becker, best known as Doctor Who's Dorium Maldova, will hold his own one-man show, while there will also be a quiz, charity raffle and dealer's stall.

Simon, who has also starred in Harry Potter and BBC 4's 'Puppy Love', said that he was looking forward to coming to Penarth and seeing fans of the show.

The event has been organised by science fiction fan Neil Goodman, who also organised a Doctor Who-themed event at the pavilion in August last year.

"Two local Dr Who/Big Finish writers will also be in attendance to do a reading and answer questions, and Simon will present his one man show 'My Dalek has a puncture', all for the same price of just £12 adults, £8 children/concessions with no charge for autographs and limited to only 70 attendees,” he said.

The event will be held from 11.30am on Sunday, January 25.
