LAST month 92 Cubs Scouts aged eight to 10 years old came together from seven Scout Groups from Penarth, Dinas Powys and Llandough.
The boys and girls each completed one badge during the day out of a possible seven that were on offer.
The Cubs had the choice of doing their Cyclist, DIY, Astronomer, Artist, Chef, IT or Pioneer Badge.
The cubs were helped to complete these badges by over 30 adult and young leaders aged 14-18.
Without these volunteers the day wouldn’t have been possible so a big thank you to them all.
Scouting is run by volunteers either helping on a regular basis or at special events like the badge event, if you can help out in any way please get in touch with Julian Jordan, district commissioner, on 0330 330 1907 or Julian@penarthanddistrict.org.uk.
Also this week UK Scouting has launched a revised programme with new challenges and badges for young people to take part in to find out about the new challenge and badges go to prepared.scouts.org.uk.
