JODI Bird will perform in the St David’s themed weekend at Disneyland Paris on the weekend of March 6-8.

Jodi, 17, was one of four winners from the 2015 Urdd National Eisteddfod who will perform in the special concert as part of the Welsh Festival.

Jodi, from Penarth, who won the solo from a musical said, “I’ll be singing a Welsh version of Let it Go from the Disney movie Frozen – I have translated the words myself into Welsh so I’m really excited to be singing my version in Disneyland Paris. When I was small, I always wanted to go to Disneyland, and not many people can say that they’ve had an opportunity to perform out there – it will be amazing!”

Aled Sion, director of the Eisteddfod, added, “We are very proud of the partnership that we have with Disneyland Paris. This is a brilliant opportunity for the young Urdd members to introduce our unique Welsh culture to an audience from across the world and to also take part in the spectacular Disney pre-parade at the end of the day – an unforgettable experience.

Peter Welch is the vice president of Disney Destinations International. He said, “St David’s Day is one of the national days that we celebrate in Disneyland Paris, and it is great that we can work with the Urdd to get young performers of the highest calibre in our Welsh concerts. The park is a sea of red, white and green over the weekend, with Mickey and Minnie in their Welsh costumes – it is a great weekend to visit!”
