LONDON Marathon runner Paul George, 39, raised a staggering £1,217 for the Stroke Association from a charity quiz night at Cogan Coronation Club on Friday, April 10 which means he is now at 70 per cent of his £60,000 target.

Paul, of Charlotte Street in Penarth, was inspired to take on the 26.2 mile challenge by his brother's recovery from a stroke. He will run alongside his brother Gary and friend Darren Romais.
