MORE to the Vale have launched a new website with new blogging features.

The new blogging platform will allow Vale of Glamorgan ambassadors to post about what's happening and good places to visit in the Vale.

Andy Poulton founder of More to the Vale said: “More to the Vale was first set up when my wife and I moved to the county and wanted to learn about the events, activities and places to visit by tapping into the knowledge of the local community.

"We are really pleased to have now added blogging to the website to allow the Vale Ambassadors and community members the space to share their in depth passion and knowledge about what they love in the Vale.”

The ambassadors are part of a programme which was set up by creative rural communities last year.

Nicole Summer-Smith from CRC said: “I am really pleased that the Vale Ambassadors, who are an enthusiastic group of volunteers have a blogging platform to be able to share their passion for the Vale of Glamorgan.”

The blog features posts about food, the arts, history, culture, places to walk and more.

Carolyn McKenzie, chairman of the Vale of Glamorgan ambassadors said: “The Ambassadors have a wide variety of local knowledge and we are happy to share what we love about the Vale of Glamorgan on the More to the Vale Blog.”

Community members are also invited to join the online More to the Vale community by blogging and sharing events.
