Penarth people had an opportunity of seeing the Royal Yacht Britannia when she sailed in to Cardiff's Queen's Dock between 2 and 2.30pm on Thursday, June 24, during the visit to South Wales of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.

The condition of the rugby field at the Recreation Ground resembled a ploughed field after the Whit Monday Gymkhana alleges an official of Penarth Rugby Club.
