BELLE Vue Park's annual 'Music in the Park' festival will take place on Sunday, July 5.

The annual event which saw over 1,000 people attend last year will take place from 2pm to 6.30pm.

A mixture of eras from the 1950s to the 1990s and genres from pop to rock to beach music will be on show.

Headline acts include The Limited who are a favourite of BBC Radio 2.

Ben Dain Smith will be on stage, the young solo artist who is in the final of the brand new artist competition.

There will also be performances from The Snorklers, Marconi Beach Sound, Emi and Gabe, SOS, Gags, Just Joan, Charlie's Marbles and The Woods.

Andrew Wigford, festival organiser, said: "We have a really exciting line-up of bands this year.

Bring a picnic rug or blanket to sit on, sunscreen, and get ready to enjoy the music. We hope it will be the best one yet!”

As well as the music, there will be arts and crafts, games, a barbecue and a range of refreshments.

The hope is that, if last year’s hugely successful festival is anything to go by, Belle Vue Park will be filled with people of all ages enjoying great live music and fun activities all afternoon.

It is free to attend but donations are welcome. More information can be found on Belle Vue Park's facebook page.
