ARRIVA Trains Wales is providing advice to rail users who are travelling to and from Cardiff for match days this weekend.

Wales face Italy (International Rugby Match), at Wales Millennium centre on Saturday, September 5 and Wales will play Israel (European Championship Qualifier), at Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday, September 6. Both matches start at 5pm.

Arriva Trains Wales have reminded rail users that extra services and capacity after the game will be limited.

On Saturday, the usual post match queuing system will be in place at Cardiff Central and Cardiff Queen Street Station will close at 6.15pm.

On Sunday, football fans using Valley Lines services are asked to use Grangetown or Cardiff Central Station and additional staff will be present at Grangetown to assist with crowds.

Passengers for mainline services are advised to return to Cardiff Central Station directly after the game.

Due to Network Rail improvements on Sunday, some platform changes and re-timings will be in place. Passengers are advised to check journey times before travelling, please visit journeycheck.com/arrivatrainswales.co.uk.
