THIS year’s Penarth Christmas Festival will take place on Sunday, November 29 and will be themed around the popular Disney film Frozen.

Children in the town are encouraged to dress up as their favourite characters and join Elsa and Anna, as well as Father Christmas, as they journey from West House on Stanwell Road to the town centre.

From 2pm there will be musical entertainment, donkey rides and fairground attractions on Windsor Road and Lower Glebe Street, as well as festive refreshments and stalls from local organisations.

The parade will arrive in town at 3.30pm and Father Christmas will be collecting letters from Penarth children to find out what they would like for Christmas.

The lights will be illuminated by broadcast journalist Fran Donovan at 5pm with help from some Frozen friends.

Entrants to the parade should gather at West House from 2pm and the parade will leave the grounds at 3pm for the journey into town.
