PENARTH Operatic and Dramatic Society are preparing for their fantastic pantomime, Tarzan, with their youngest members thrilled to take part.

Rehearsals are now in full swing and the talented children are showing how they can sing, dance and act, all with a smile on their faces.

Three generations of the Owen family will perform together on the Paget Rooms stage, along with three members of the Edwards family and Celyn who carefully watches her grandmother in the prompt's chair.

Everyone will love this pantomime which runs from Thursday, December 3 until Sunday, December 6.

This year audiences will be transported to the jungle to find out whether hapless hero Tarzan will be able to find true love and keep the villagers safe from the evil Kamizuko and Kamiziki.

All of the elements of the traditional Christmas pantomime are weaved into this exciting adaptation of the story first penned by Edgar Rice Burroughs, so come prepared to cheer the heroes, boo the baddies and laugh with the Dame, there is something for everyone.

Tickets are £9 for adults, £8 concessions and £7 for children and they are available from Tenovus, Windsor Road or online at pods-penarth.org or call 02920 712260.
