FROM Saturday, April 30, a bus service from Penarth to Cardiff via Cardiff Bay will return.

The 91 service, supported with funding from Penarth Town Council and Vale of Glamorgan Council, will operate every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday from April 30 until September 25.

On an hourly basis, buses will leave from Cosmeston, a stop that was introduced to the route last summer.

Buses will then stop at Penarth Pier, Windsor Terrace, Penarth Marina, Mermaid Quay in Cardiff Bay and Wales Millennium Centre, before arriving at St Mary Street in the city centre.

Gareth Stevens, commercial manager at Cardiff Bus said, “Our summer special service is back due to popular demand. With the direct service running over four months, residents from Penarth can enjoy the host of events on offer at Cardiff Bay this summer.

“Families looking to visit the city can take advantage of our Families for a Fiver promotion, where two adults and up to three children or young people 18 years of age or under can travel all day for five pounds.”
