ANYONE considering visiting Cardiff on Saturday (April 30) is advised to prepare in advance with 66,000 spectators are expected for Judgment Day rugby matches.

A full road closure will be in place in Cardiff city centre from 12.30pm until 8pm for the event at the Principality Stadium.

Enhanced security measures will continue to be in operation at the stadium.

A spokesman for the City of Cardiff Council advised all those travelling into Cardiff to consider park and ride.

All trains are expected to be busy.

Arriva Trains Wales will provide extra train services, especially to West Wales, Newport, Gloucester and the Marches routes.

Customers are advised to take the earliest possible train service to Cardiff.

Spectators are advised to leave three hours in advance of kick off, especially on stops on the periphery of Cardiff.

Buses will be diverted out of the central city centre bus stops and will relocate to either Churchill Way for the East, Greyfriars Road for the North or Tudor Street for the West.

Night-time closures of Lower St Mary Street and Greyfriars Road will be in effect from 8pm until 4am and taxi marshals will be in place.

St Mary Street taxi rank will be closed from 2.30pm and re-open from 8pm.
