ORBIT Theatre, Cardiff’s number one amateur company, returns to the New Theatre with their unique telling of classic fairytale Cinderella.

Starring Britain’s Got Talent 2014 semi-finalist Jodi Bird from Penarth, the evergreen story of the girl who becomes a princess arrives at half term from Wednesday, June 1 to Sunday, June 5.

Cinderella is kept enslaved and in rags by her wicked stepmother and two jealous stepsisters, and stands no chance of attending the royal ball. That all changes when her fairy godmother appears, magically transforming her reality into a dream come true.

Cinderella attends the ball and enchants the handsome Prince Charming, but has to rush home before the spell wears off.

This family show is adapted from the original Cendrillon by Charles Perrault, and features modern days hits Happy Working Song and That’s How You Know alongside a host of traditional favourites.

Jodi Bird was a revelation on Britain’s Got Talent in 2014, winning the hearts of the nation and wowing everyone with her rendition of Let It Go from Frozen. She made her New Theatre debut in 2014 as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz.

Tickets are on sale now from £10 to £22, bookings are subject to a Ticketing Service Charge (exemptions apply).
