A BUMPER carers' cafe is to be held at a hospice in Penarth next month to celebrate Carers' Week.
Marie Curie will be hosting the cafe on Tuesday, June 7 at their Cardiff and Vale hospice on Bridgeman Road.
It will be held between 2pm-4pm on the first and last Tuesday of every month, but the June 7 café will be offering a variety of experts offering specialist advice to the carers who attend.
Among those present will be Gillian Lloyd from Lucas Law specialising in advice about powers of attorney and wills.
Erin O’Neill will be on hand to offer expert advice on benefits and finances with Anne Griffiths from Cardiff and the Vale Community Health Council and Marie Curie nursing staff Sam Clements and Jan Palmer also in attendance.
Sarah Johnson, who runs the carers’ cafes, said: "The Carers’ Week carers’ café offers a one-stop shop for carers to access a variety of information all in one place. "The cafe is a friendly, relaxed environment where you can come along and discuss your caring issues.
"If people can find the time we’d love for them to join us."
The carers’ cafe is part of the Marie Curie caring for carers project, funded by the Big Lottery Fund.
