A WOMAN allegedly assaulted by a Penarth man has died in hospital.
Raymond O’Connell, 68, from Penarth, was charged with attempted murder on August 5, after allegedly assaulting a 54-year-old woman in Glanmor Crescent, Barry, on August 4.
South Wales Police have said they are now reviewing the evidence to "consider appropriate charges."
Mr O’Connell will next appear at Cardiff Crown Court in September.
