PENARTH RVS members met at the Paget Rooms after their summer break on September 6.
Cynthia welcomed everyone and also new members Mrs Scott and Mrs Burgess. The afternoon's entertainment was given by John and Angela. They sang a varied selection of songs they all knew.
Their next outing is on October 4, to the Brecon Beacons.
Birthday greetings were sung to Jill Davis and Denise Davies. The departing hymn was sung and refreshments and raffle drawn the meeting to a close.
In spite of atrocious weather, there was a good attendance at the Penarth RVS Tuesday meeting on September 13.
Mary Howells has been in hospital, and they send best wishes for her recovery.
Jean Harris celebrated her birthday.
Entertainment was provided by Amy Britten Singers - members of this group also gave amusing readings.
The meeting closed after refreshments and the raffle drawn, when members went out again into torrential rain.
