British Summer Time will end at 2am GMT on Sunday, October 23. Clocks and watches should then be put back one hour.

One of the brightest and most comprehensive exhibitions ever seen in Penarth was opened at the Paget Rooms on Wednesday.

Sponsored by the Penarth Christian Council, it portrayed the work of the town's voluntary services.

A very successful coffee morning was held last Wednesday at the Institute in aid of the new Chapel Baptist Hall, when a grand total of more than £15 was realised to help the new hall, and a pleasant morning was enjoyed by all who attended.

Penarth Operatic and Dramatic Society are presenting a revival of the well known comedy, Wishing Well, at the Paget Rooms, October 26-29.

The Severn Bridge has opened up a new field for Penarth's Male Voice Choir, who last weekend crossed to Bristol to entertain the Bristol Welsh Society.

Good news for members of the British Amateur Electronics Club. The Club has at last received permission to use the school projector at Penarth Secondary School, St Cyres Road, (off Redlands Road), Penarth, at its meetings held every Thursday from 7pm to 9pm.

Penarth Scouts had an outstanding win at the Annual County Gala at the Wales Empire Pool last Saturday, with a final points total of 41 - their nearest rival gaining 29.

The 1967 Penarth Holiday Week is to be brought forward from August to July. This was decided at last Thursday's meeting when members were told that this was the only date with suitable tides for the regatta and water cavalcade.

Almost 200 members were present at the Women's Institute group meeting, held at the Parish Hall on October 10, when Dinas Powys was the hostess institute.
