The following cases were heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates' Court sitting at Cardiff:

Ashley Alexander Greening, aged 22, of Church Avenue, Penarth, pleaded guilty to assault and possessing the class A drug cocaine. A community order was made and he was ordered to pay £75 compensation, £85 costs and an £85 surcharge.

Andrew Thomas Powell, aged 37, of Andrew Road, Cogan, was found guilty of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. He was fined £660 and his licence endorsed with six penalty points. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £66 surcharge.

Clare Louise Walker, aged 36, of Queens Road, Penarth, pleaded guilty to keeping a vehicle which was unlicensed on the road. She was fined £110 and ordered to pay vehicle excise duty of £24.17 and £90 costs.

Alex Wilson, aged 53, of Forrest Road, Penarth, pleaded guilty to speeding. He was fined £100 and his licence endorsed with three penalty points. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge.
