THE LINE-UP for the next Penarth Rocks event has been officially announced.

The tribute concert put on by Mack Events returns after its successful debut in February this year.

More than 400 people attended the first event and it is back at the Paget Rooms between 4.30-11pm on Saturday, April 29 next year.

It is organised by the same team who are behind the highly popular Glastonbarry concert.

Some of the highlights include the band Flash, a Queen tribute act.

Lead singer Claudio, who is portraying Freddie Mercury, lives in Italy and is flying in for the gig from Rome.

Flash headlined Glastonbarry in the summer and 2,500 people enjoyed them with organisers saying they have never had more emails or requests to get another band back.

The concert will also feature Europe's number one tribute to The Who called Who's Next.

Ross Mackintosh of Mack Events said: "We have wanted to work with these guys for years but our dates have always clashed so we are delighted."

Also playing will be Too Toned, a Ska tribute band who play all the classics from Madness, The Specials, The Beat, Bad Manners and more.

There will also be music from Get Ready who are a soul, funk and Motown band fronted by Suzi Chunk.

Singer Sarah Brown will be opening the show.

Mr Mackintosh said: "Sarah has a brilliant voice and we so happy to have her play at the festival."

The hope is that Penarth Rocks will become an annual fixture in the town's social calendar.

Tickets are £15 and there are a small selection of VIP tickets for £25.
