ST CYRES School's staff have raised just under £1000 for charity.
The Penarth school staff - who dressed themselves up in 1980s rock outfits - filmed a video of themselves miming to the hit song Don't Stop Believing.
Currently £892 has been raised, which is just short of the £1000 target.
This is the third video that the staff - who called themselves "Wrong Direction" - have produced for charity.
Richard Hopkin, who is a music teacher, who also directed and edited the video, said: "It was so much fun secretly getting together after school, dressing up and a singing along in front of the cameras to the school.
"We had a lot more teachers who decided to get involved this year.
"The day really allowed us to let our hair down or put our wigs on after a busy day of teaching.
"Despite all of the fun, we did this for charity and to make a difference."
Dr Jonathan Hicks, who is headteacher, also made a cameo and played the trumpet and recorded a voice over to introduce the band.
More than 6,000 people have viewed the video online.
