A PRESENTATION about military parachuting and rotary assets in Iraq and Afghanistan, will be given on Friday, December 2, by Richard C Pendry

Richard Pendry spent his formative years in the parachute regiment where he learned the art of soldiering in one of the world’s most elite units.

Using his military skills he entered the shady world of the private security industry, working in Iraq, West Africa and most recently in Afghanistan. He has also been involved with the Syrian refugee crisis.

Richard’s visual talk to Penarth Aviation Society will include questions and answers during the presentation.

He is also an author and recently had a novel published entitled, Damascus Redemption. It’s a parallel story that uses the backdrop of Iraq, 2007 and the Third Crusade in 1191.

Mason, unable to cope with the loss of his family is forced to resign from the SAS, with his life over, he is enticed into the cut throat security industry in Iraq by an old comrade who forces him into a suicidal mission.

His team is attacked and two of his men are taken hostage.
