A PACKED village hall was treated to a "fabulous" New Year's Day concert.
The 30th annual Dinas Powys Ecumenical Seven took place at the parish hall.
Led by Dr Haydn Jones, there was a wide range of music including two young talented soloists currently based in Wales.
Shanul Sharma, a lyric tenor who has been accepted at the Wales International Academy of Voice under the directorship of Mr. Dennis O’Neill, performed as did bass Nathan Lay from Melbourne who has studied Bachelor of Music - Classical Voice at Melba Conservatorium of Music.
The accompanist was Jane Samuel.
Songs included Castell Dinas Powys, Georgia, My Way, Henffych y Ddraig and Light as Air.
The audience joined in the rendition of Berliner Luft.
The encore was Johann Strauss’ Radetzky March which was commissioned to commemorate Radetzky’s victory at the Battle of Custoza.
Dr Jones expressed his appreciation to the community council for their support, to councillor Keith Hatton for the sound and lights, Jane and Edward Jenkins for front of house duties and councillor Val Hartrey for arranging the refreshments.
