Plans for enlarging the Belle Vue Bowls Pavilion are to be deferred for 12 months when consideration will be given to building a completely new clubhouse.

Husbands of Dinas Powys Women's Institute members are to be asked to attend a whist drive in February. It is hoped to make the evening a considerable financial success so that a substantial contribution can be made towards the cost of a kidney machine in this area.

Ninety children were entertained at the Conservative Club party last week, when a film show was given and each child received a gift from Father Christmas.

Most unusual feature of a very unusual entertainment presented at the Dinas Powys Methodist Youth Hall from Wednesday to Saturday last week, was the participation of the audience as a vital and integral part of the performance.

The dramatic presentation, Unwillingly to Aldersgate, was given by the drama and youth groups of the Penarth Methodist Circuit.
