PENARTH Cricket Club have announced their Glamorgan player for the 2017 season.
Andrew Salter will team up with the club as part of the South Wales Premier Cricket League's player allocation scheme.
Last year, the club had experienced wicket keeper Mark Wallace on board as they gained promotion to the premier division one on the final day of the 2016 season.
They also reached the Welsh Cup final, just losing out to Mumbles in Neath.
Club captain Jonathan Davies said: "It is great to have someone like Andrew around.
"He has been with Glamorgan for a few years and has played a lot of cricket.
"He is coming in to cover for our spinner who is injured.
"He is an all rounder so boosts our batting as well.
"I hope he will be able to help me as captain as well as the younger players at the club."
Penarth Cricket Club's indoor nets sessions start on Monday, February 27 at All Square Sports in Penarth Road, Cardiff.
They take place every Monday from 8-9pm with the last session on April 24.
