A PENARTH Weight Watchers coach has been given national recognition for her work in inspiring members to adopt and live healthy lifestyles.

Tracey Burley, who runs classes in the town, was given her third diamond award recently.

Creating plans which are personalised to each member’s age, gender, BMI and lifestyle shows how committed Mrs Burley is to helping every Weight Watchers member achieve their goal weight

She has also been able to equip local residents with the skills and techniques required to build a positive relationship between food, mind and body for good.

The award celebrates coaches who have provided exceptional support to their members during their weight-loss journey and is only given out once every two years to a select group of Weight Watchers experts across the country.

Mrs Burley, the mentor champion in the South Wales Weight Watchers area, lost six stone herself a decade ago.

She kept the pounds off and now regularly runs – something she would never have dreamt of doing.

She said “To receive this national award for a job I love doing is amazing.

"Weight Watchers works on so many levels for so many people that I am humbled to be part of people’s life-changing experience when they lose weight.”

The system provides a flexible and balanced approach to leading a healthier lifestyle.

The Smart Points, or no tracking option, guides members towards healthier food choices based on more than calories alone.
