The following cases were heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates' Court sitting at Cardiff:

Liesl Munn, aged 37, of Murch Crescent, Dinas Powys, pleaded guilty to speeding. She was fined £100 and her licence endorsed with three points. She was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Nathan Williams, aged 35, of Andrew Road, Cogan, was found guilty of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. He was fined £660 and his licence endorsed with six points. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £66 surcharge.

Joshua Mackay, aged 24, of Windsor Road, Penarth, pleaded guilty to two counts of sending a series of indecent or grossly offensive text messages. A community order was made requiring 180 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months. A restraining order was made and he was ordered to pay £100 compensation, £85 costs and an £85 surcharge.

James Lee Harries, aged 35, of Lord Street, Penarth, pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance. He was sentenced to 18 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months. He was disqualified from driving for three years and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £115 surcharge.

Gerald Joseph Thomas, aged 33, of Sir Ivor Place, Dinas Powys, pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving without insurance. He was fined £120 and his licence endorsed with six points. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

James Alexander Bailey, aged 41, of Albert Crescent, Penarth, pleaded guilty to damaging a letterbox and threatening to burn down a house and damage a vehicle. He was fined £233 and ordered to pay £130 compensation. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.
