TRIBUTES have been paid to the victims of the terror attack in Manchester last night (May 22).

Twenty-two people died and 59 are injured following the explosion at the end of the Ariana Grande concert.

General Election campaigning has been suspended today.

Andrew RT Davies, assembly member for South Wales Central called the attacks "despicable and evil" and said his thoughts and prayers go to everyone affected.

"Targeting a concert with so many children and families is the ultimate act of cowardice and as a country we will come together to show those who commit such atrocities will never, ever win." he said.

"Our appreciation goes to the emergency services who were first on the scene at this horrific incident – as ever, heroes of the hour.

"All campaigning is suspended as our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and the families of those who have been affected at this most horrendous time."

Grenville Ham, Wales Green Party leader, confirmed their manifesto launch today has been postponed

He said: "In the light of the tragic events in Manchester our event is postponed and we will not be campaigning today.

"This transcends politics. My thoughts are with the families and friends of the victims of the attack and the community in Manchester."
