The 2017 Cardiff and Vale College (CAVC) exhibition is now open at the Vale of Glamorgan Council’s Art Central Gallery in Barry.

Exhibition at Art Central GalleryThe exhibition showcases the best of CAVC students’ work and spans a range of disciplines including ceramics, textiles, graphic design, painting and installations.

Cllr Bob Penrose, the Council’s Cabinet Member for Learning and Culture, said: “The work on show at Art Central is absolutely first class. To have their work displayed in a public gallery represents a big step in the development of these young artists and I am delighted that the Council has been able to make this possible. The Vale has a thriving arts scene and with this exhibition the students at Cardiff and the Vale College have put themselves at the heart of it.”

CAVC is one of the largest colleges in the country and many of its arts courses are based at the college’s main Vale of Glamorgan campus in Barry.

The exhibition is open to the public until Saturday 24 June 2017 (10am – 4:30pm weekdays and 10am – 3:30pm on Saturdays). Art Central is located at the Town Hall, King Square, Barry, CF63 4RW.
