The following cases were heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates' Court sitting at Cardiff:

Abul Kalam, aged 39, of Bridge Street, Penarth, pleaded guilty to one count of possessing crack cocaine, one count of possessing cannabis and one count of failing to surrender to custody. He was discharged conditionally for 24 months and fined £120. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Andrew James Thomas, aged 53, of St Peters Court, Penarth, pleaded guilty to two counts of failing to promptly notify the Department of Work and Pensions of a change of circumstances which would effect the receipt of employment support allowance. He was fined £400 and ordered to pay £85 costs.

Amir Abbas Heydari, aged 28, of John Batchelor Way, Penarth, pleaded guilty to one count of taking a vehicle without consent to which damage was done before it was recovered and one count of driving without insurance. He was fined £230 and disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.
