Less than two weeks to spend old £1 coins
THE old style £1 coin will no longer be accepted in shops and restaurants in less than two weeks' time.
After the October 15 deadline if you still have old £1 coins you can take them to a bank or some charities will still be able to accept them as donations.
It might be time to empty your money jars and have a dig behind the sofa!
