The following cases were heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates' Court sitting at Cardiff:
Ian Wayne McDonnell, aged 28, of Windsor Road, Penarth, pleaded guilty to driving after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath exceeded the prescribed limit. He was fined £120 and disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for three years. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.
Andrew Gardner, aged 48, of Heol Neuadd, Cogan, pleaded guilty to speeding. He was fined £100 and his licence endorsed with three points. He was ordered to pay £310 costs and a £30 surcharge.
