THE World’s Strongest Man will be paying a visit to Penarth on November 24, making the first stop on his new UK tour.

Eddie ‘The Beast’ Hall will be visiting Wales for the first time since winning the prestigious crown in May this year, in which he defeated fierce rivals Hafthor Bjornsson and four-time champion Brian Shaw to lift the trophy in Botswana.

Hall, who hails from Stoke on Trent, became the first British man to hold the title of The World’s Strongest Man since Gary Taylor in 1993 and joins a select group of four men from the British Isles to reach the pinnacle of strongman.

Eddie Hall rose to fame in 2015 after a feature documentary, ‘Eddie – Strongman’, aired on Netflix and showed the likeable Hall on his quest to become the strongest man on earth. He has broken the mould of the traditional strongman with his extrovert personality resulting in a cult following online. 2016 saw him become the first man in history to lift 500kg, which he did in the presence of his long time hero Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Jamie Parry, who is promoting the upcoming event, is excited at the prospect of bringing such a big name to the Welsh capital.

"Eddie Hall is a huge name in British sport right now and an internet sensation. He has broken multiple world records and to be able to call yourself the strongest man in the world is something truly unique.

"It is going to be a special night in Cardiff on November 24th and one that I’m sure sports fans in South Wales will truly embrace."

Hall will appear in front of an audience at The Vale Sports Arena in Penarth, Cardiff, providing them with a rare insight into the world of the strongest man on the planet. Welsh fans will be treated to a showcase of strength from Hall as well as live entertainment and a chance to ask him the secrets to his success in a question and answer session.
