THE following cases have been heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates’ Court, sitting in Cardiff.

Jake Haysham, aged 25, of Cwrt Eirlys, Barry, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He was fined £360 and ordered to pay £250 in court costs, £100 compensation and a £36 victim surcharge.

Garry Collins, aged 33, of Jewel Street, Barry, was found guilty of assault by beating. He was sentenced to spend six months in prison and received a restraining order, and was ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.

Tee Jay Wallace, aged 26, of Bassett Street, Barry, admitted to breaching the terms of a supervision requirement following his release from prison. He was fined £120.

Mark Smith, aged 52, of Arthur Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly and to assaulting a police officer. He was ordered to carry out 140 hours of unpaid work and to pay £150 in compensation, an £85 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.

Dinnika Daley, aged 26, of Treharne Road, Barry, pleaded guilty to assault by beating and to sending offensive, obscene or menacing communications by telephone. She was fined £120 and ordered to pay £50 compensation and a £30 victim surcharge.

Shannon O’Brien, aged 19, of St Mary’s Avenue, Barry, pleaded guilty to two counts of assaulting a police officer. She was given a conditional discharge for 18 months and was ordered to pay £150 compensation, £85 in court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Wayne Pinkard, aged 44, of Clive Road, Barry Island, pleaded guilty to stalking and harassment. He was ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work and received a restraining order, as well as being ordered to pay £85 in court costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

Kevin Jones, aged 45, of Vere Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to harassment. He was given a restraining order and was fined £120, as well as being ordered to pay £85 in court costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

Bradley Simpkins, aged 22, of Caldy Close, Barry, pleaded guilty to harassment. He was fined £400 and was ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a £40 victim surcharge.

Royston Casanova, aged 69, of Richard Street, Barry, pleaded guilty to assault by beating and theft of a mobile phone. He was given a restraining order and was fined £200, as well as being ordered to pay £250 in court costs, £150 compensation and an £85 victim surcharge.
